SURAK

“SURAK – FATHER OF VULCAN LOGIC COSTUME” FROM “THE AWAKENING”

A costume featured in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “The Awakening”; wherein “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula) and “T’Pol” (Jolene Blalock) encounter a radical sect of Vulcans called the “Syrrannites” who are being blamed for the bombing of the “Earth Embassy”.

This costume is “Surak” (Bruce Gray), the Vulcan ‘Father of Logic’, an iridescent silk tunic with sage-colored embroidered leaves, woven rust-colored, overall-style, trousers; a waistcoat made from puckered silk with faux brass buckle/clasps, brass colored buttons, a sleeveless maroon, robe that features textured gold thread brocade, tiny burgundy thread flowers, carved, faux buttons, clasps and an interior waist belt with clasps. A full-length, copper-colored robe featuring a white thread checkerboard design, a raised waffle-board pattern on top, large, open, bell-sleeves, and attached hood.

The components all feature sewn in Enterprise tags reading ‘Bruce Gray 084’ and the costumer’s tag reads ‘Enterprise 084, Surak, Bruce Gray’ and indicates the components. There is one hole in the knee of the left leg on the trousers; there is no indication as to whether or not it is intentional distress.
